Announcement State Coach and Development Manager NSW

It is with great pleasure we announce the appointment of Brett Coxsedge to the position of State Coach and Development Manager with Basketball NSW.

Brett comes to us with great knowledge of High Performance Management and he has been the High Performance Manager at Basketball WA for the last 5 years. 

Brett brings extensive coaching experience from being Assistant Coach for the West Sydney Razorbacks/Sydney Spirit, Director of Basketball Operations Wichita State University, Sports Development Manager Western Regional Academy of Sports.  Brett has also previously worked with BNSW as NITP (National Intensive Training Program) Head Coach for 7 years from 1999 to 2006.

During his tenure with BNSW, Brett also coached many of our State Teams both Metro and Country to gold, silver and bronze medal positions.  He has also successfully coached AustralianTeams at the World University Games 3 times.

Brett has a extensive coaching training and experience well above what we have outline above and is a Bachelor of Social Science  with a major in Recreation and Physical Education. His final year of study was undertaken at Oregon State University in the USA. 

Brett will commence his role with BNSW on 3rd September.  He will also undertake the interview process for the State Coaches and Managers  for 2019 in the 3rd week of August. 

We, welcome Brett and his family back to Sydney and are looking forward to him joining the team in the next 6 weeks.
