Ken Frame passed away at 5:30am on the 3rd September 2017 leaving a huge legacy for the members of the Tamworth Basketball Association.

Ken was a stalwart of the Tamworth Thunderbolts, a driver of growth for both the Tamworth Basketball Associations as well as the New England Basketball Region. He played and coached at both the senior and junior levels and was a tireless worker and constant promoter of basketball for the Tamworth Thunderbolts organisation. A member of the steering committee for the original Anne Street Basketball Stadium the original Thunder dome and home of the Association for many years.

Patrick Hunt AM fondly remembers Ken’s contribution to the success of the Thunderbolts where he would tirelessly spend many hours recommending and taking players to the BNSW Easter Camp in Narrabeen driving members to camps and training venues all over the region.

Ken also gave his time to the art of refereeing and officiated at many of the Thunderbolts games as well as countless hours for the local domestic competitions.

Ken Frame will be sadly missed by the Tamworth Basketball Association.

We have no funeral details at this point in time.

On behalf of the Basketball NSW Board, members and Staff we would like to pass on our condolences to Ken’s family as well as the many friends and colleagues that have known him over the many years he has been participating in our great game.

Our thanks to Troy Jeffriess for kindly providing the photos.
