PLAYER EOI’S NOW OPEN FOR GTK WARATAH WHEELCHAIR LEAGUE POWERED BY SPALDING

Are you looking for a new way to get involved in an exciting sport? Look no further than the GTK Waratah Wheelchair League Powered by Spalding! We’re recruiting players from all over NSW to join our teams, and we’d love for you to be part of it. 

Expressions of interest have opened for interested athletes to join a team that may need a few extra numbers. 

Teams include the Blacktown Storm, Canberra Gunners, Central Coast Crusaders, Hills Hornets, Illawarra Hawks, Macarthur Heat, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, Newcastle Falcons and Sutherland Sharks. 

Anyone interested can contact BNSW’s Wheelchair Basketball Manager, janna.mizens@bnsw.com.au and provide the following details.

  • Name
  • DOB
  • Where they live
  • Association/s they are interested in playing for

Expressions of interest are now open and will close Monday 8th May. 

Once EOI’s are received BNSW will swiftly put you in contact with an association that is looking for players. Note: If you do not live in one of the areas there is a team, you can still play on a team. 

Round Dates & Venues
Round 1: June 24th – Niagara Park
Round 2: July 8th – Minto
Round 3: July 29th – Shellharbour
Round 4: August 19th – Kevin Betts (Blacktown)
Finals: August 26th – Venue TBC

We invite anyone who is interested in participating in wheelchair basketball to join us in this amazing opportunity. All abilities are encouraged to express interest, especially keen basketball players with lower limb limitations. Wheelchair basketball is a fast-paced game providing mobility via high-tech wheelchair basketball sports chair.  Whether you’re an experienced player or just getting started, we welcome all skill levels to come and play. Our mission is to provide a safe and fun environment for people to engage in competitive sport.
