Coaching

As a basketball coach, you will often form the first lasting impression that participants and their families have with our game.

Coaching Basketball in NSW

Become A Coach

Basketball throughout Australia relies on dedicated volunteers to teach people how to play the game and compete.

We recognise there is a need to support these volunteers with high quality, consistent, accessible training through accreditation courses.  This is fundamental to the development of players, coaches, pathways in sport and of the game in Australia.

Whether you are coaching a team of beginners who are just learning to love the sport or a national team, we hope you enjoy coaching Everyone’s Game.

How to get INVOLVED??

Basketball Coaches around NSW can begin to get involved through their local Basketball Association.

To find yours, simply click on the link below and contact them either through email or phone call. If you do not hear from anyone within the Association, please contact the Basketball NSW Coach Development Manager via email.

If a Basketball Association does not exist in your area, many coaches have started coaching at their local schools or created their community’s own Association.
