John Davidson Country Jamboree

The 2020 John Davidson U12 Jamboree will not go ahead.
However, Basketball NSW is pleased to let Country athletes know that the ever-popular U12 Skills Days will proceed in August across 11 venues in the State.

The Jamboree has been developed to provide junior country basketballers with an enjoyable basketball experience that includes more than just direct head to head competition. The Jamboree concept includes social activities, coaching clinics, and games.  The focus is not on winning it is participatory and enjoyment of the game that is important at Jamboree. The games have specifically designed rules that cater to the involvement of all players.

Players go into camp and are accommodated at Farrar High School Tamworth, and while parents are invited to come and watch the Jamboree games, players are required to stay overnight with their teammates, coaches, and managers.

This includes:

  • 6 games of basketball
  • 3 training sessions
  • 3 nights accommodation
  • All meals
  • Playing singlet, playing shorts and Jamboree t-shirt
  • Transport during the Jamboree (players must arrange their own travel arrangements to and from the Jamboree)
  • Jamboree Photo
  • Social Activities
