This year’s competition promises to be even more exciting than ever, as teams battle it out throughout four rounds for championship glory.

The first round will take place this Saturday, the 1st of June at Shellharbour City Stadium. Round 2 and 3 will take place at Niagara Park Stadium and Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium respectively, while Round 4 will take place at Minto Indoor Sports Centre. The finals dates and venue are yet to be announced.

The 2024 season sees the tournament format return to one division on the fixture, where each team will compete in two/three games per round. This will determine the top four teams after the regular season, who will then battle it out for the title of 2024 grand final champions.

The following seven teams will be partaking in the 2024 edition of the GTK Waratah Wheelchair League (Powered by Spalding):

  • Blacktown Storm
  • Canberra Gunners
  • Central Coast Waves
  • Hills Hornets
  • Illawarra Hawks
  • Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
  • Newcastle Falcons

Attending the first round of the competition will be a Paralympics Australia representative, who will be able to assist with any classification queries. To learn more about classification click HERE.

In addition to the classifiers, the league sponsors, GTK, will be setting up a marquee tent and be able to assist athletes with equipment enquiries. Make sure to learn about GTK HERE.

BNSW looks forward to welcoming all athletes, coaches, technical officials, sponsors and spectators to Shellharbour City Stadium, this Saturday the 1st of June, for a spectacular start to the 2024 Waratah Wheelchair League.
