The 2024 Spalding Waratah Junior Premier League & U12 State Championships season concluded with an electrifying weekend of finals, showcasing the best of youth basketball in New South Wales from August 2-4.

Over the course of the three days, 64 teams across eight divisions demonstrated their skills, determination, and sportsmanship, culminating in an unforgettable finals weekend. The atmosphere was palpable, demonstrating the hard work and dedication of all participants throughout the season.

Basketball NSW extends heartfelt thanks to the coaches, managers, technical officials, volunteers, delegates, athletes, and their parents and carers. Their unwavering commitment was vital to the season’s success, ensuring that every game was played with integrity and enthusiasm.

Special appreciation goes to Penrith Basketball Association, Hawkesbury Basketball Association, and the staff and volunteers across the three venues—Penrith Valley Regional Sports Stadium, Hawkesbury Indoor Stadium, and St Paul’s Grammar School. Their outstanding efforts in hosting the finals weekend provided a seamless and memorable experience for everyone involved.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to Penrith City Council for their support in Presenting the weekend, along with Councillor Todd Carney, Mayor of Penrith for attending to assist with our Medal Presentations.

Congratulations to all the 2024 winners, MVPs, and the referees appointed to the grand final matches.
