2024 SPALDING WARATAH LEAGUE FINALS: HILLS BASKETBALL STADIUM SET TO HOST THRILLING SHOWDOWN

Basketball fans across New South Wales are eagerly anticipating the climax of another thrilling season as the 2024 Spalding Waratah League Finals are slated to take place on the 24th and 25th of August at the iconic Hills Basketball Stadium.

After months of intense competition, featuring some of the most talented teams and players in the state, the stage is set for a weekend of high-flying action, intense rivalries, and unforgettable moments.

Hosted by Basketball NSW and Hills Basketball Association, the Spalding Waratah League Finals bring together the top teams from across NSW, battling it out for supremacy in GTK Waratah Wheelchair League (Powered by Spalding), Spalding Waratah Men, Spalding Waratah Women, Spalding Waratah 1 Youth Men, Spalding Waratah 1 Youth Women, Spalding Waratah 2 Youth Men and Spalding Waratah 2 Youth Women. 

Basketball NSW, CEO, Maria Nordstrom said she is excited and looking forward to another fantastic finals weekend.

“There’s nothing quite like the intensity of finals basketball, and I can’t wait to see which teams rise to the occasion and etch their names in history,” said Nordstorm.

The Hills Basketball Stadium, located in Castle Hill, is no stranger to hosting premier basketball events and is expected to provide the perfect backdrop for the Finals. With its state-of-the-art facilities and electric atmosphere, fans can expect an unforgettable experience.

Hills Basketball Association, CEO, Steve Burke, said he is thrilled that his team can once again host such a pinnacle event on the basketball calendar. 

 “We’re excited to be hosting the Waratah Senior Finals once again in 2024. The atmosphere in the Hills Basketball Stadium is always electric and the Finals will ratchet things up a notch,” said Burke.

“If we can be lucky enough to have Hornets teams qualified, it’ll be off the charts! We can’t wait to welcome the NSW basketball community to the Hive!”

Tickets for the 2024 Spalding Waratah League Finals will go on sale next few months with both day session and weekend passes available.
