2025 OPENS SCHOOL TOURNAMENT RECAP

Basketball NSW extends its sincere congratulations and thanks to all the schools that participated in the 2025 Opens Division of the BNSW Schools Tournament. This year’s competition featured an impressive display of talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship from student-athletes representing regions across New South Wales.

The regional stage of the tournament has now wrapped up, with top-performing teams securing their place in the highly anticipated 2025 Opens State Championships. The Championships will take place at the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre on Tuesday 27th May, and Wednesday, May 28th, promising two days of high-level competition.

Congratulations to all the winning teams, each participant, as well as team staff and officials for making the event a memorable success.

About the Schools Tournament: 

The BNSW School Tournaments consist of regional tournaments for both Primary and Secondary Schools. These tournaments culminate in the top teams from each region competing at the State Championships, where the best team from NSW will be crowned. These tournaments are open to all New South Wales schools.
