The Basketball NSW Open’s Schools Tournament State Championships were held on the 17th & 18th of September at the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre, drawing schools from across New South Wales for an intense battle for the top prize.
A total of 30 schools competed across three divisions, resulting in 78 games over the course of the State Championships. The fierce competition featured many thrilling moments that kept onlookers at the edge of their seats.
The tournament welcomed the top U16 school teams from regional qualifiers held throughout the state. Each champion side represented their region, competing for the ultimate title in their division.
Basketball NSW extends its sincere appreciation to the referees and officials whose professionalism and dedication ensured a fair and well-run event.

More Information: The BNSW School Tournaments consist of regional tournaments for both Primary and Secondary Schools.
These tournaments culminate in the top teams from each region competing at the State Championships where the best team from NSW will be crowned. These tournaments are open to all New South Wales schools. Primary will be hosted later in 2025.
