2025 WARATAH LEAGUE FINALS SET TO TIP-OFF AT THE CENTRAL COAST

Basketball fans across New South Wales are gearing up for an action-packed weekend as the 2025 Waratah League Finals are set to take place on the 23rd and 24th of August, hosted across two venues on the NSW Central Coast at Guzman y Gomez Stadium and Niagara Park Stadium.

After months of high-level competition and standout performances across the state, the stage is being set for a thrilling showdown, filled with fierce rivalries, passionate crowds, and season-defining moments.

Proudly hosted by Basketball NSW in partnership with Central Coast Basketball & Central Coast Waves Basketball, the Waratah League Finals will showcase the best teams from across the league as they compete for ultimate glory in GTK Waratah Wheelchair League Powered by Wilson divisions 1 and 2, Waratah Men, Waratah Women, Waratah Youth League 1 Men, Waratah Youth League 1 Women, Waratah Youth League 2 Men, and Waratah Youth League 2 Women.

Basketball NSW, CEO Maria Nordstrom, said the Waratah League Finals continue to represent a premier celebration of community, competition, and excellence across all levels of the game in New South Wales.

“We are incredibly proud to bring the 2025 Waratah League Finals to the Central Coast, an area with a rich basketball history and a passionate sporting community,” said Nordstrom. 

“This event is one of the most significant fixtures on our calendar, and it provides an outstanding opportunity to showcase the incredible talent, commitment, and sportsmanship of players, coaches, officials, and volunteers across our senior and wheelchair leagues.”

“Working alongside Central Coast Crusaders & Central Coast Waves Basketball, we are confident the Finals will be a memorable experience for all involved. It’s a weekend where rivalries intensify, dreams are realised, and the basketball family comes together to celebrate a season of hard work and high achievement.”

With both Breakers and Niagara Park Stadium set to host key matchups throughout the weekend, the Central Coast will provide the perfect setting for what promises to be an unforgettable conclusion to the 2025 season.

Tickets for the 2025 Waratah League Finals will be available in the coming months, with both single-day and weekend passes on offer.

Now in their third season as league partner of the GTK Waratah Wheelchair League powered by Wilson, GTK continue to play an important role in the growth of wheelchair basketball, including providing valuable on-site assistance with athlete equipment needs on gameday. 

We also acknowledge Wilson, who have been outstanding in their first season as the official ball provider of Basketball NSW.
