Basketball NSW is pleased to announce the successful participants selected for the 2026 ICaLD Women’s Emerging Leaders Program, with a diverse group of emerging leaders set to take part across the three-month initiative.
The 2026 cohort represents a strong cross-section of the basketball community from across New South Wales, featuring participants from both Metro and Country associations.
The ICaLD Women’s Emerging Leaders Program aims to support and develop the next generation of female leaders within basketball, providing participants with opportunities to learn from experienced presenters across leadership, inclusion, coaching and officiating.
The successful participants for the 2026 program are:

- Mikaela Reynalda – City of Blacktown Basketball Association
- Tahlia Amos – Coffs Harbour Basketball Association
- Zeinab Haji Abolhasani – Hornsby Ku Ring Gai Basketball Association
- Arielle Bolton – Marrickville Basketball Association
- Imogen Williams – Northern Suburbs Basketball Association
- Liv Weedon – Northern Suburbs Basketball Association
- Rory Smith – Orange Basketball Association
- Carly O’Flynn – Parramatta Cumberland Basketball Association
- Tatiana Beaumont – Penrith Basketball Association
- Leonie Renwich Bara – St George Basketball Association
- Madeleine-Matoula Zoumpoulis – St George Basketball Association
Basketball NSW, Head of Participation & Community, Annie La Fleur OLY said the inaugural program represents an exciting opportunity to develop and empower the next generation of female leaders within the sport.
“This inaugural ICaLD Women’s Emerging Leaders Program marks an exciting step forward in creating meaningful leadership opportunities for women within basketball across New South Wales,” said La Fleur OLY.
“This program has been designed to empower and inspire the next generation of female leaders by providing opportunities to learn from experienced presenters across leadership, inclusion, coaching and officiating. Plus bringing together different experiences and perspectives is a vital part of building stronger and more inclusive communities within our sport.”
Throughout the program, participants will hear from a range of respected leaders and presenters from across basketball and the wider sporting industry, covering topics including personal leadership, community and inclusion, officiating and coaching. The presenter lineup includes Olympian Annie La Fleur OLY, leadership specialists Fleur McIntyre and Jacqui Dover, internationally renowned coach Liz Mills, advocate and speaker Jahin Tanvir, experienced official Brendan Lloyd and highly regarded coach Peter Lonergan.
Following the completion of the program, the participants will also have the opportunity to be selected for two internship opportunities within the Basketball NSW office, providing further hands-on experience and continued leadership development within the basketball community.
Basketball NSW congratulates all successful participants and looks forward to supporting their leadership journey throughout the 2026 ICaLD Women’s Emerging Leaders Program, which officially commences on June 2.
