Basketball NSW is set to launch a bold new look from 2023 with a new design direction with the implementation of a sleek, fresh logo to be introduced across all facets of the game.
The new look aims to modernise the Basketball NSW brand and will be rolled out over the next 12 months across merchandise, competitions, high performance, apparel, marketing and social media.
The refreshed modern design maintains the signature basketball as utilised across all states and territories as well as Basketball Australia and takes on a new blue hue synonymous with NSW colour branding.
Basketball NSW, CEO, Maria Nordstrom said, “This new logo is a major milestone for Basketball NSW and uniquely strengthens our identity in the sporting landscape while still acknowledging the historical significance of our game.”
“We are excited to lead more into the digital space, with the new logo being more adaptive for all our online marketing and meets the current direction of evolving our brand for the first time in over a decade.”
“It was important that we kept the basketball silhouette as to maintain our identifiable feature of our sport but to also modernise the font to run align with other basketball states and territories that have also transitioned from the ‘blade look’ to a new sleeker design.”

During the past 18 months, Basketball NSW has also given bnsw.com.au a refreshed look to compliment the modernisation and direction of the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan through it’s colour scheme and branding.
Finally, to complete the design refresh, Basketball NSW will be updating all our social media channels and online newsletter so make sure you are following us on all the platforms you use to get the latest news and support basketball here in NSW.
