BASKETBALL NSW EXPANDS BOARD EXPERTISE WITH APPOINTMENT OF JOYDEEP HOR

Basketball NSW is delighted to announce the appointment of Joydeep Hor as the newest member of its Board of Directors.

Hor is the Founder and Managing Principal of People + Culture Strategies (PCS), one of Australia’s leading firms in people management law and strategy. With nearly three decades of experience, he is recognised nationally and internationally as a leading authority in workplace culture, governance, and leadership.

A graduate of the University of Sydney, Hor holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Master of Laws, as well as completing the Owner-President Management Program at Harvard Business School, a distinction that makes him the only Australian lawyer to have completed the program. He is also a Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute (FAHRI) and a Chartered Fellow of the UK’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Throughout his career, Hor has been recognised for his innovative approach to leadership and workplace culture. His firm PCS advises hundreds of organisations across Australia and abroad, helping them build strong, people-focused workplaces.

An accomplished author and commentator, Hor has written several books on employment and leadership, including Managing Workplace Behaviour and Finders Keepers: A Guide to Attracting and Retaining Great Employees. He has been recognised by Who’s Who Legal as a Global Elite Thought Leader and consistently ranked among Australia’s leading employment lawyers by Chambers & Partners.

Beyond his professional achievements, Hor has shown a deep commitment to sport and community. Under his leadership, PCS has partnered with major NSW sporting organisations including the NSW Waratahs, NSW Swifts and Sydney Sixers, reflecting his belief in the unifying power of sport.

Basketball NSW, Chair, Lisa Yen, welcomed Hor’s appointment to the Board.

Hor joins the Basketball NSW Board alongside Chair Lisa Yen, Mark Wilks, Anton Brown, Donna McClelland, Alison Brandon and Tom Milicevic, bringing valuable expertise in governance and culture to support the organisation’s continued growth and strategic direction.
