Basketball NSW is pleased to offer Technical Officials access to the Reiss Motivation Profile, a professional development tool designed to help officials gain a deeper understanding of what drives them. By exploring the motivations that influence how they think, communicate and perform, officials can gain valuable insights to support their development both on and off the court.
The Reiss Motivation Profile is a science-based assessment that measures the 16 core motivations that influence how people approach their work, relationships and decision-making. Taking around 20 minutes to complete, the assessment provides participants with an instant personalised profile, along with access to MotivationLab; an interactive platform featuring tailored learning resources and a closed AI-powered coach that helps individuals apply their results in practical ways.
The initiative follows a successful pilot program involving the recent SRDP cohort, with participants reporting a range of positive outcomes after completing the profile.
