Basketball NSW is proud to launch the Basketball NSW Sport & Business Program powered by SEDA Group, providing participants with a unique opportunity to combine education with real-world experience in the sports industry.
The program offers students the chance to study a dual diploma in sport and business while being immersed in a professional sporting business environment. Designed to bridge the gap between education and industry, students can apply now for the program starting in January 2027, with Basketball NSW playing an active role in supporting participant development.
Through the partnership, Basketball NSW will contribute to the program via guest presenters, work-integrated learning opportunities, and access to a range of practical experiences at Basketball NSW events. Participants will gain firsthand insight into the operations of a leading state sporting organisation, including behind-the-scenes industry exposure across several department such as coaching, finance, media, marketing, competitions etc
Delivered by SEDA Group, the program focuses on work-integrated learning, ensuring students develop both practical skills and professional networks.
Basketball NSW, Interim CEO David Simpson said the partnership reflects the organisation’s commitment to developing the next generation of sport industry professionals.

The Basketball NSW Sport & Business Program powered by SEDA Group is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and experience to pursue careers across the sport and business sectors.

Basketball NSW works in collaboration with SEDA Group RTO: 22503 on marketing and promotional services relating to the recruitment of prospective students for this program. SEDA Group is responsible for training, assessment and issuance of AQF certification documentation. Program consists of SIS50321 Diploma of Sport and BSB50120 Diploma of Business.
