Basketball NSW is proud to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of our athletes, coaches, and officials following a successful campaign at the 2025 Under 18 and Junior Wheelchair Foot Locker National Championships held in Brisbane.
NSW Results Overview:
- Under 18 Metro Boys – Silver Medal
- Under 18 Metro Girls – Bronze Medal
- Junior Wheelchair – Bronze Medal
- Country Boys – 8th Place
- Country Girls – 9th Place
Reflecting on the state’s strong showing at the championships, Brett Coxsedge, General Manager: Coach and Development at Basketball NSW, shared his pride in the program’s success:
“We are incredibly proud of the efforts of our athletes. To have our teams compete at such a high level is a testament to the strength and depth of the basketball community here in NSW,” said Coxsedge.

Basketball NSW would also like to extend its sincere thanks to our dedicated medical professionals who supported the wellbeing and performance of our athletes throughout the week: Adam and Emma from Momentum Physiotherapy for their outstanding care and support of the Under 18 teams. Yasmine from Apex Movement for her work with the Junior Wheelchair team, ensuring athletes were well-prepared and supported throughout the competition.
Basketball NSW extends its congratulations to the NSW referees who were appointed to officiate medal matches at the championships, a significant recognition of their expertise and professionalism:

In addition to these appointments, we thank and acknowledge the NSW officials who contributed across the entire tournament, including our Referee Coaches, Statisticians, and Scorebench personnel:
Blake Testoni, Eloy D’Rozario, Liam Flanagan, Helen Rosenberg, Kylie Montgomery, Saskia Towers, and Jessie Skeen-Fisher. Their commitment and professionalism played a vital role in the successful delivery of the championships.
