BNSW REVEALS 2024 JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM SELECTIONS

Basketball NSW is thrilled to introduce the promising referees chosen for the Junior Development Program (JDP) for the year 2024.

The JDP initiative is tailored for budding referees actively involved in our vibrant Waratah Junior Leagues and Junior Premier League competitions. Selected referees will embark on a transformative journey from February to September, guided by Program Manager, Caitlin Grove. Throughout this period, they’ll receive personalised attention aimed at furnishing them with the knowledge and skills necessary to flourish as High-Performance Referees.

Information about eligibility:

This is an invite-only program where BNSW will scout eligible candidates from the Waratah Junior League and Junior Premier League season just passed along with recommendations from Program Managers. To be eligible for consideration, you must:

Have displayed the potential to become an elite official as identified by BNSW

Hold a minimum Association Intermediate Grading

Have been officiating at least in the previous season of JPL (or equivalent competition)

Can commit to the program in its entirety.
