BNSW UNVEILS 2024 ADVANCED REFEREE PROGRAM SELECTIONS

Basketball NSW is thrilled to unveil the roster of referees joining the prestigious Advanced Referee Program (ARP) for 2024.

The ARP program is a program designed for upcoming referees who are actively participating in our Waratah Senior League Competition and NBL1 competition. From April to September, the referees’ will be mentored by Bradley Mattioli, Basketball NSW Technical Officials Development Officer – High Performance to evolve their current knowledge and skills, teaching advanced refereeing principles to help pave the way towards becoming elite referees.

Information about eligibility:

This is an invite-only program where BNSW will scout eligible candidates from the JDP programs and other potential candidates entering or already refereeing in the Waratah Senior League and/ or NBL1 League (or equivalent competition) this past season.

*Exceptions can be made by the discretion of BNSW based on a referee’s performance over the course of the season.

To be eligible for consideration, you must:
Hold a minimum State Development grading, and;
Have been officiating at least in the previous season of NBL1 and/ or Waratah Senior League (or equivalent competition)
Can commit to the program in its entirety.
