BRETT STIBNERS TO COACH NSW KEVIN COOMBS CUP

Basketball NSW is pleased to announce the NSW Kevin Coombs Cup (KCC) team trial dates which will occur the weekend 22-23 January 2022.

Tokyo Paralympian Brett Stibners will head coach the group in 2022. Stibners has played in 4 Paralympic Games winning a gold and a silver medal, 3 world cups winning a gold and 2 bronze medals and has won 6 National league titles (NWBL). His experience will be a huge asset to the team as they look to return to the court in 2022 after being unable to compete the past two years due to COVID.

“I am really excited to be coaching the Kevin Coombs Cup team in 2022. I look forward to sharing my experiences and learning from the players” Stibners said.

To be eligible for selection in the NSW 2022 Kevin Coombs Cup wheelchair basketball team, athletes need to be born between:

MEN – 01/01/2000 – 31/12/2008 (Aged between 14 and under 23 years of age)

WOMEN – 01/01/1998 – 31/12/2008 (Aged between 14 and under 25 years of age)
