On behalf of the Directors of the New South Wales Basketball Association Ltd (BNSW), this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday 24 May 2025 commencing at 9.30am.
This year the AGM will be held in person at BNSW corporate head office at Units 27-28 Homebush Business Park, 11-21 Underwood Rd, Homebush NSW 2140. If you are unable to attend in person, please make sure you submit your proxy votes or vote electronically 7 days prior to 24 May 2025 when voting opens. The 2025 AGM Notice of Meeting will be sent to all members no later than 21 days prior to the AGM.
1 Call for nominations for Life Membership
We call for nominations for Life Membership for 2025. Please note that this year the Board has delegated the review of the life member nominations to the Hall of Fame Committee comprising life members to consider all the nominations received and make recommendations to the Board.
Life Membership is an honour which can be bestowed by BNSW for long standing and valued service to basketball in NSW. On the nomination by the Board, any individual may be elected as a life member at the AGM by special resolution.

2 Call for nominations for the Member Elected Directors of the BNSW Board
We call for nominations for directors of the BNSW Board to be elected by members at the 2025 AGM.
There are two (2) member elected director positions available for election at the 2025 AGM each for a three year term. Both positions are a result of directors retiring following the expiry of their term.
All nominations must be lodged using the nomination form with requested support material and submitted via email to companysecretary@bnsw.com.

BNSW Board Skills Matrix AGM 2025
Please note that this year the Nominations Committee will be chaired by Stuart Hodge, CEO of Sports NSW. The Nominations Committee will focus on director attributes and skill category requirements to bolster the Board’s effectiveness to implement and oversee its new Strategy (2026-2029) to be completed this year, as well as, ensuring basketball community representation.
3. Ordinary or Special Resolutions
Pursuant to the Corporations Act (Act), if a member or group of members who are eligible to put forward either an ordinary or special resolution (as prescribed by the Act) to be voted upon by all members at the AGM, it must be received Friday 21 March 2025 by 5pm by email to companysecretary@bnsw.com.
