On behalf of the Directors of the New South Wales Basketball Association Ltd (BNSW), I confirm that this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday 20 May 2023 commencing at 1pm.
This year the AGM will be held in person at BNSW corporate head office at Units 27-28 Homebush Business Park, 11-21 Underwood Rd, Homebush NSW 2140. If you are unable to attend in person, please make sure you submit your proxy votes or vote electronically 7 days prior to 20 May 2023 when voting opens. The 2023 AGM Notice of Meeting will be sent to all members no later than 21 days prior to the AGM.

2 Call for nominations for the Member Elected Directors of the BNSW Board
We call for nominations for directors of the BNSW Board to be elected by members at the 2023 AGM.
There are two (2) member elected director positions available for election at the 2023 AGM. Two (2) of those positions are a result of directors retiring following the expiry of their three-year term.
Accordingly, we call for nominations for directors to fill those two (2) vacancies for 3-year terms each.
All nominations must be lodged using the nomination form with requested support material and submitted via email to [email protected] by 5:00 pm 31 March 2023.
Please note that this year the Nominations Committee will be chaired by Carolyn Campbell, currently director of Volleyball Australia and Bankstown Sports Club (formerly Chair of Sports NSW). The Nominations Committee will focus on director attributes and skill category requirements to bolster the Board’s effectiveness to implement and oversee its Strategy.

3 Ordinary or Special Resolutions
Pursuant to the Corporations Act (Act), if a member or group of members who are eligible to put forward either an ordinary or special resolution (as prescribed by the Act) to be voted upon by all members at the AGM, it must be received Tuesday 11 April 2021 by 5pm by email to [email protected].
