On behalf of the Directors of the New South Wales Basketball Association Ltd (BNSW), I confirm that this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday 21 May 2022 commencing at 1pm.
This year the AGM will be held in person at BNSW corporate head office at Units 27-28 Homebush Business Park, 11-21 Underwood Rd, Homebush NSW 2140. If you are unable to attend in person, please make sure you submit your proxy votes. The 2022 AGM Notice of Meeting will be sent to all members no later than 21 days prior to the AGM.
1 Call for nominations for Life Membership
We call for nominations for Life Membership for 2022. The criteria for life membership is set out in the attached Life Membership Nomination form.
Please make sure Members complete the Life Membership Nomination form and return it via email to companysecretary@bnsw.com.au by 5:00 pm Thursday 14 April 2021. Please note that this is the day before Easter Good Friday.

2 Call for nominations for the Member Elected Directors of the BNSW Board
We call for nominations for directors of the BNSW Board to be elected by members at the 2022 AGM.
There are three (3) member elected director positions available for election at the 2022 AGM. Two (2) of those positions are a result of directors retiring following the expiry of their three-year term and one (1) of those positions is a vacant position held over from last year’s AGM.
Accordingly, we call for nominations for directors to fill those vacancies for the following terms:-
– Two (2) member elected director positions are for 3-year terms; and
– One (1) member elected director position is for a 2-year term.
All nominations must be lodged using the nomination form with requested support material and submitted via email to companysecretary@bnsw.com.au by 5:00 pm Friday 8 April 2021.
Please note that this year the Nominations Committee will be chaired by Carolyn Campbell, currently Chair of Sports NSW (formerly interim CEO of Basketball Australia). The Nominations Committee will focus on director attributes and skill category requirements to bolster the Board’s effectiveness to implement and oversee its new Strategy.

3 Ordinary or Special Resolutions
Pursuant to the Corporations Act (Act), if a member or group of members who are eligible to put forward either an ordinary or special resolution (as prescribed by the Act) to be voted upon by all members at the AGM, it must be received Thursday 14 April 2021 by 5pm by email to companysecretary@bnsw.com.au.
