BNSW would like to advise that our High Performance department has reviewed the current structure that we have when it comes to our NITP program and current player pathways.

We have spent a fair amount of time on implementing a few changes which we feel will benefit our athletes and help them towards improving as players and obtaining their goals.
Nathan Kirwan our High Performance Manager  has asked to have this information delivered to those individuals to whom this applies to asap, but there are still a few minor details to confirm. The High Performance department is aiming to break the old NITP or High Performance path down into 3 tiers under the banner of the High Performance Program (HPP).
The first tier is:
Developing Athlete Program (DAP)
– In the DAP there is a strong focus on the identification, development, and support of individual athletes aged 13-17.
The second tier is:
State Performance Program (SPP)
– The SPP will look to identify, develop, and prepare athletes in the Under 16 & Under 18 age group to represent New South Wales at the Australian Junior Championships.
The third tier is:
National Performance Program (NPP)
– The NPP will provide development, training and support for athletes identified at the national level. Whilst also aiming to prepare athletes for selection into the Australian Under 17 and Under 19 junior teams, and beyond.
