New Business Launched to Help Aussie Athletes Land College Sports Scholarships
College Exposure Tours, has been launched to help Australian athletes achieve their dreams of securing a US College Scholarship. The business will offer Australian athletes across a number of sports the opportunity to travel to the US and compete against US athletes in front of US College Coaches and Scouts. Tour Participants will be joined by other elite athletes from across Australia and New Zealand and will be led by experienced elite coaches. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit a number of college campuses to see firsthand the lifestyle and the opportunity offered as a US College Student Athlete. Managing Director Michael Edwards stated “we have sent a recent spike in interest from athletes in a number of sports and different levels wanting to pursue a dream of becoming a Student Athlete in the US. Although there has long been a variety of different ways to try and achieve this dream, there has never been a clear pathway that athletes could follow to give them firsthand experience of the Student Athlete experience and maximise their exposure to coaches and therefore their opportunities. Our tours will offer athletes the greatest chance to achieve their College dream, by providing a clear pathway to achieve that dream.” In addition to the exposure opportunities of the tour itself, College Exposure Tours has exclusively teamed with Custom College Recruiting, the leading College Recruitment Service (CCR) having secured over $38,000,000 worth of scholarships for athletes. CCR are the official recruitment partners of Basketball Queensland, Basketball Victoria and Basketball New Zealand. CCR will provide athletes attending a tour with a profile that will then targeted towards part of CCR’s 13,000 strong network of College Coaches. Participants will also receive a Video Highlights Package courtesy of Hook Media. The partnership will help athletes achieve their dream by providing pre and post tour exposure for athletes to one of the largest networks of College Coaches available. The first tour will depart for the US on the 2nd July 2016, taking a group of basketballers to one of the sports heartlands in Kentucky and Indiana. The group of Male and Female athletes will match up against some of the top US High School talent in elite tournaments in front of hundreds of coaches.
