Since re-entering the National Basketball League in 2010, one of the stated aims for the Sydney Kings has been to provide as much opportunity as possible for local talent to shine at the top level of the sport in this country.

The organisation has been very clear about the importance of engaging with the local community at every level, and part of that has always been the need for representation on the squad by Sydney-born players or those who are closely affiliated with one of the many great basketball associations in New South Wales.

As the team continues to rebuild in the wake of the many changes that have occurred since new owner AEG Ogden and Managing Director Jeff Van Groningen took control of the iconic franchise, the Kings are now in a position to search for a group of young, talented ballplayers from around the state to join the Sydney Kings and make their mark in the game.
