Last week saw Basketball NSW have a massive week of coach education and development opportunities for coaches throughout the state, with over 125 coaches involved.

On Monday, May 1st, City of Sydney Basketball Association coach and Shanghai Sharks Assistant Coach Jacob Jackomas & NBA Assistant Coaching legend Kevin Eastman Basketball presented a basketball clinic in front of 75+ NSW Coaches.
Big thanks to the State Performance Program athletes who assisted both coaches in the clinic.

From May 2nd to May 3rd, Basketball Australia hosted its 2nd annual National Coaches Conference at the Basketball Australia’s Centre of Excellence.
This event saw 33 coaches from throughout NSW attend the conference to further develop their coaching skill and growth mindset.
This event also involved NSW coaches Peter Lonergan, Patrick Hunt, Rex Nottage, and Rob Beveridge as presenters.
Big thanks to Peter Lonergan for organising such a successful event; we can’t wait for next year.

And on Friday, May 6th, Basketball NSW ran a Club Coach Course at Cambridge Park High School which saw 18 coaches come and learn from Jacob Jackomas and get themselves accredited as a ‘Club Coach’. Big thank you to Penrith Basketball Association for helping organise the course, and of course to all of the coaches who came and invested time from their weekend to help develop the sport we love, Basketball.
