Accelerate programs and talent identification in order to drive high-performance participation via a competency-based pathway framework for player development.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Basketball NSW is the governing body of basketball in the State of NSW. We are seeking a motivated, passionate and highly driven High-Performance Coach to join our Coaching and Development Team in 2022. The suitable candidate will be responsible for the implementation and management of Development and High-Performance Programs in NSW.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct High Performance player and network coaching sessions in Regional NSW (and support Metropolitan NSW when required)
- Manage and conduct State Performance Program
- Coordinate High Performance network venues and organise coaches
- Produce resources to assist in the development of High-Performance Programs, including curriculum
- Co-manage and coordinate the Talented Athlete Program
- Liaise with the Regional Academies of Sport
- Assist in the on-court and organisation of other development programs within the High-Performance department
- Assist and consult with the State Team Programs
- Assist with the presenting and running of coach education
- Assist with the co-ordination and management of the High-Performance Development Tours
This role will involve significant travel throughout Regional NSW and candidates should consider this carefully before applying

ARE YOU INVOLVED IN OTHER BASKETBALL ACTIVITIES?
If yes that’s great and we encourage our staff to be actively involved in the game in other capacities, such as playing, coaching, being a team manager, refereeing right through to just being a fan.
We get it, and we understand it, as basketball runs through the veins for a lot of our staff members.
The successful applicant can continue to undertake these activities in their own time, but this must be disclosed at the time for applying for the role and must not present conflicts of interest in this role.
