NSW ATHLETES NAMED IN GANGURRUS SQUADS FOR FIBA 3X3 CHAMPIONS CUP

Several New South Wales athletes have been selected to represent Australia as the Gangurrus prepare to compete at the FIBA 3×3 Champions Cup in Bangkok, Thailand from March 13–15.

Following their first national training camp of the year in Cairns, the Australian men’s and women’s teams will face some of the world’s top 3×3 nations at the international tournament.

Lara McSpadden (Newcastle Falcons / Sydney Flames) has been named in the Australian women’s squad, while Lauren Nicholson (Sutherland Sharks / Sydney Flames) has been listed as a reserve.

Alex Higgins-Titsha (Bankstown Bruins) has been named in the Australian men’s squad after initially being listed as a reserve.

Now in its second year, the FIBA 3×3 Champions Cup brings together continental champions, Olympic medallists and top-ranked nations.

Australia’s men will compete in Pool B alongside the United States, Netherlands and Madagascar, while the women face the Netherlands, United States and Madagascar in Pool A.

All games will be streamed live via the FIBA 3×3 YouTube channel.
