Basketball Australia has officially announced the teams representing Australia in the upcoming FIBA U15 Oceania Cup, set to take place in Canberra from November 11th-16th, 2024. This marks the first time Australia has hosted the event since 2013.
Basketball NSW is thrilled to announce that three talented athletes from our state have been selected to compete in the tournament, alongside two of our esteemed coaching staff and a physiotherapist. This is a tremendous opportunity for athletes to showcase their skills on the international stage, as the FIBA U15 Oceania Cup plays a key role in identifying emerging basketball stars.
The top two teams from this tournament will advance to the 2025 FIBA U16 Asia Cup and FIBA Women’s U16 Asia Cup, taking them one step closer to the global basketball stage.

U15 Sapphires:
- Sasha Clague (Norths Bears)

- Antonio Browne (Bankstown Bruins)
- Marley Wilczek (West Sydney Wolves)
- Assistant Coach: Curtis Sardi (Basketball NSW / Bankstown Bruins)
- Team Physiotherapist: Adam Messenger (Momentum Physiotherapy)
The FIBA U15 Oceania Cup will take place at the Australian Institute of Sport, providing an excellent platform for these young athletes to gain invaluable international experience. The tournament will feature teams from across the region, including Guam, Samoa, Cook Islands, New Caledonia, Tahiti, Fiji, New Zealand, and Tonga.
Australia are the reigning champions in both the boy’s and girl’s competitions, with the last event held in Mangilao, Guam, in 2022. The 2024 tournament promises to be an exciting display of basketball talent, the schedule will be announced shortly with games streamed live from the FIBA U15 Oceania Cup portal.
