Basketball Australia has today announced the following athletes who have been selected into the 2022 Australian Pearls Squad.

Basketball NSW would like to congratulate NSW Ivor Burge silver medalists Brittany Anderson, Taylor Anderson & Mackenzie Wills on their inclusion in the squad list. Leading the Pearls program is Head Coach Larry Davidson from Newcastle Basketball.

Having recently attended the Ivor Burge Championships in Mackay,  Davidson was delighted with the number of emerging athletes who could comfortably fit into the Pearls program and work well with the established, more experienced players.

“It’s great to see all the states with strong programs, and with new talent, and so many players back on the court, realising their basketball goals” said Coach Davidson.

The Australian Pearls are working towards the VIRTUS 2022 Asia Oceania Games which will be held in Brisbane in November.

The Australian Pearls squad members will meet in Canberra at the Basketball Centre of Excellence in June for their first training camp since 2019.
