The 2026 Foot Locker Under-16 National Championships have concluded in Bendigo, with New South Wales represented by four State Teams and a talented group of Technical Officials across nine days of competition.
Held at Red Energy Arena from 4th – 12th of July, the championships brought together the country’s best emerging basketball talent, providing athletes, coaches and officials with the opportunity to compete at Australia’s premier junior basketball event.
New South Wales was represented by four teams throughout the championships as they continued their development within Basketball NSW’s Performance Pathway.
The final placings for the NSW teams were:
- NSW Metro Boys – 5th
- NSW Metro Girls – 6th
- NSW Country Boys – 10th
- NSW Country Girls – 10th
Basketball NSW’s Technical Officials were once again well represented at the championships, with several earning appointments to medal games following outstanding performances throughout the week.

- Emmy Prykiel – Crew Chief
- Davina Kuang – Umpire 2
Under 16 Boys Gold Medal Game
- Caitlyn Bloomfield – Umpire 2
- Neil McNaught – Scoretable Official
Basketball NSW also acknowledges the contribution of the entire NSW officiating team, who represented the state throughout the championships:
