Basketball NSW is thrilled to announce that seven distinguished technical officials from New South Wales have been selected to represent the state at the upcoming Under 16 Footlocker National Championships in July.
Among them, four referees will officiate the Under 16’s tournament, one will serve as scoretable, one will act as a statistician, and another will oversee as a referee coach.
The National Championships, set to take place at Red Energy Arena in Bendigo from July 6th to 14th, 2024, offer an exceptional opportunity for emerging officials to demonstrate and develop their skills on a national platform.
Head of Technical Officials, Steve Clark expressed his excitement in seeing so many local talents advance in their officiating careers.
“Having such a mix of young referees heading to their first nationals experience is a real testament to the hard work and dedication each and everyone of them have put in over their officiating careers”, said Clark.
“I would like to further congratulate our scoretable representative in Aram and statistician Sean, along with one our our junior league program managers Caitlin to act as a referee coach.”
“Best of luck to all, and we look forward to watching you all progress through the officiating ranks.”
