Basketball NSW proudly announces the referees selected to represent New South Wales at the 2025 Australian Country Junior Basketball Cup (ACJBC), set to take place this January in Albury.
The ACJBC is a premier event in the Australian basketball calendar, bringing together the top junior players, coaches, and referees from country regions across the nation. This prestigious tournament not only celebrates talent but also sets the stage for the year ahead, providing a platform for fierce competition and skill development at the highest level.
For our referees, this selection is a significant milestone, reflecting their commitment, expertise, and progression within the Basketball NSW Referee Pathway Program. Officiating at such a prominent event not only enhances their technical capabilities but also positions them as role models for aspiring officials throughout New South Wales.
Further enriching this experience, the tournament will feature experienced Referee Educators, who will provide mentorship and share their extensive knowledge with the next generation of officiating talent. This collaboration underscores Basketball NSW’s dedication to fostering excellence, innovation, and professionalism within the referee community.
Basketball NSW, Head of Technical Officials, Steve Clark, said that he couldn’t be prouder of the young group of technical officials heading to Albury.
