NSW TEAMS SHINE AT THE UNDER 20S & IVOR BURGE FOOTLOCKER NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Basketball NSW extends its congratulations to our Under 20 Women, who claimed the Gold Medal at the Under 20s & Ivor Burge Footlocker National Championships in Ballarat last week. We also congratulate our Ivor Burge Women, who secured the Bronze Medal in an outstanding display of skill and teamwork.

A special commendation to Ruby Perkins (U20 Women), who was awarded the prestigious Bob Staunton Medal as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Additionally, Brittany Anderson (Ivor Burge Women), was recognised as the Footlocker Defensive Player of the Tournament for her exceptional performance.

We also acknowledge and congratulate the referees who were selected to officiate in the Medal Games:

U20 Men Gold Medal Game – Sarah Fahey

U20 Women Gold Medal Game – Tom Marsh

Ivor Burge Women Bronze Medal Game – Clare Kelly

We also extend our appreciation to Referees Jayna Bonney (U20 tournament) and Broughton Hamilton (Ivor Burge tournament)  plus our volunteer Scoretable Officials Lynne Ackroyd & Gill Adrian for their contributions throughout the week.

Finally, we would like to thank Adam Messenger from Momentum Physiotherapy and Health Services for treating and keeping all our athletes on court for the duration of the Tournament.

The Ivor Burge Men finished in 4th, U20 Men in 7th and U20 Men Blue in 8th.
