Basketball Australia has announced the 12 athletes selected to represent the Australian Rollers at the 2026 IWBF World Championships in Ottawa, Canada, from 9th–19th of September.
Basketball NSW recognises NSW representatives Tristan Knowles, Luke Pople and Bill Latham, who have all earned selection in the final squad.
The trio were part of the Rollers team that won gold at the 2025 Asia Oceania Zone Championships and will bring plenty of international experience into the tournament.
Pople also recently represented Australia in wheelchair basketball 3×3 at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, where Australia claimed the gold medal.
The Rollers have been drawn in Pool B alongside Argentina, Türkiye and Great Britain as they look to improve on their seventh-place finish at the 2023 World Championships.
Also representing NSW in Ottawa will be Darren Allie and Brett Stibners OAM, who have been named as Assistant Coaches for the Rollers.
Basketball NSW congratulates Tristan, Luke and Bill on their selection and extends its best wishes to all athletes currently playing for NSW teams in the National Wheelchair Basketball League who have been named in the squad, and to the entire Rollers team ahead of the World Championships in Ottawa.
