Basketball NSW would like to congratulate the referees and referee instructors who will officiate this year’s Northern and Southern Under-12 John Davidson Country Jamboree in the coming weeks.
The Jamboree is a pathway program for players, coaches, referees and officials alike, designed to provide junior country basketballers (including referees) with an enjoyable basketball experience that includes more than just direct head-to-head competition.
Head of Technical Officials, Steve Clark, shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming 2024 Jamboree, highlighting its importance for referee development throughout the state.
“We are thrilled about the 2024 John Davidson Country Jamboree and the incredible opportunities it presents for our country referees. This event plays a key role in helping them not only refine and enhance their officiating skills but also gain invaluable experience within the Basketball NSW referee pathways,” said Clark.
It’s a fantastic platform for our referees to showcase their abilities, learn from seasoned officials, and continue their journey towards higher levels of officiating. The Jamboree truly strengthens the foundation of refereeing in regional areas, contributing to the overall growth and professionalism of the sport in New South Wales.”
