Press Release – Basketball NSW Adrian Hurley Cup

Basketball NSW (BNSW) is very excited to announce that it will inaugurate a new challenge cup to celebrate the rivalry between our two NSW based NBL teams, the Sydney Kings and the Illawarra Hawks.

We have named the cup after Adrian Hurley, who has had a great impact in the history of the Kings, the Hawks and also BNSW.

The Basketball NSW Adrian Hurley Cup will mean that when these two teams meet they are playing for more than just competition points! With two powerhouse teams in NSW, this Cup is a great way for NSW members both Metro and Country, to get to the game and support their two NBL teams.

How it will be awarded:

During the NBL season the Kings and the Hawks play four times. The team who has the best record out of the four games will take out the “Basketball NSW Adrian Hurley Cup”. If there is a tie of two games each, the winner will be decided on ‘for and against’ points. It will be presented at the end of game 4.

BNSW are excited about this initiative and would encourage all our members to make sure they get out there in loud voice at the next Kings vs Hawks game!

Make sure you get tickets to see the first clash between the Sydney Kings and the Illawarra Hawks. TICKETS: http://bit.ly/1LnS80t
