Basketball NSW is pleased to announce the winners of the Defensive Players’ of the Year awards for 2019 Spalding Waratah League.

The Waratah League Defensive Player of the Year awards are determined by votes from the Head Coach and Team Captain of each team in these divisions. Voters were not permitted to vote for members of their own team.

Division 1 Youth Men Defensive Player of the Year
Patrick Lancaster – Illawarra Hawks 

Division 1 Youth Women Defensive Player of the Year
Ella Dent – Illawarra Hawks 

Division 2 Youth Men Defensive Player of the Year
Raymond Takchi – Hornsby Ku Ring Gai Spiders Green

We would like to invite all our award recipients to attend this weekend’s finals presentation. An invitation will be sent to each association with details on how to collect your ticket and when you will be presented your award. 

2019 Finals

The 2019 Spalding Waratah League Finals will be held on the 17th & 18th of August at Breakers Indoor Sports Stadium (Saturday & Sunday) and Niagra Park (Saturday only).
