Australian Indigenous Basketball | TEAM SELECTIONS

Basketball New South Wales would like to congratulate our four New South Wales representatives on being selected for the Australian Indigenous Basketball teams to compete in the first Four Nations Cup in New Zealand beginning March 25th.

Congratulations to NSW and Norths Bears representative Rebekah Dallinger on her selection to the 2019 Apunipima AIB Women’s National Team. Dallinger is the only female member to represent NSW in the side.

An additional congratulations to our three NSW male representatives Deba George, Tyson Demos and William (Davo) Hickey on their selection to the 2019 Apunipima AIB Men’s National Team.

Deba George is a basketball veteran and has played in both the NBL and SEABL. The shooting guard from Albury, New South Wales is an offensive player and has been in the Australian Indigenous side for a number of years.

Tyson Demos is a former NBL player who won the Illawarra Hawks’ Defensive Player of the Year in three consecutive seasons from 2012-2015. The thirty-year-old from Wollongong, New South Wales plays on the wing.

William (Davo) Hickey is a 20 year old from Cowra, New South Wales. The 6’3” combo guard has played for Sydney Comets as well as Team OZ.
