Basketball New South Wales is pleased to partner with Mexican restaurant chain, Guzman y Gomez for the 2019 Spalding State Championships.

Basketball New South Wales, CEO, Maria Nordstrom has welcomed the partnership for the 2019 Spalding Waratah State Champs as an excellent opportunity to reinforce the idea of healthy living and eating for our junior athletes.

“We are proud to support Guzman y Gomez’s mantra of accessible fresh and nutritious food for all Australians, especially for our younger generations that may not realise the importance of eating a healthy balanced diet,” said Nordstrom.

“Over 640 athletes will be participating in this year’s Spalding Waratah State Champs and every single player will receive a special gift bag filled with GYG gift cards and free drink bottles to stay hydrated and fuelled across the weekend.”

“Well-planned eating practices can assist our athletes to train hard, stay healthy and injury-free, and of course compete at their best in the sport they love.”

Founder and Global CEO of Guzman y Gomez Steven Marks said;

“We’re so proud to partner with Basketball NSW and support the best Junior basketball teams in the State.  I’ve seen these kids play and they are phenomenally talented athletes,” said Marks.

“It’s great to be able to work with organisations like BNSW who recognise that fast food doesn’t need to be bad food. GYG are committed to ensuring that the food we serve is clean, nutritious and healthy and we’re proud to be able to feed the future MVP’s of Australia.”

“We wish all the teams the best of luck in the State Champs.”

BNSW would like to extend a thank you to Guzman y Gomez for their support and backing of the 2019 Spalding Waratah State Championships.
