Basketball NSW is pleased to announce the following coaching announcements for the 2020 State teams:
U20 Men – Ashley Henrisson (Bankstown Basketball Association)
U20 Women – Tom Garlepp (Norths Basketball Association)
U18 Metro Men – Jacob Jackomas (City of Sydney Basketball Association)
U18 Metro Women – Sam Gruggen (BNSW)
U18 Country Men – Matt Bishop (West Wyalong Basketball Association)
U18 Country Women – Shelley Bates (Illawarra Basketball Association)
U16’s Head Coaches will be announced at a later date.
Following his silver medal winning success in his first year as head coach of the U20 Women, Tom Garlepp is excited to be back in charge.
“I am very grateful to be given the opportunity to coach NSW again at the 2020 Australian Championships in Canberra. I was very proud of the efforts and commitment of last year’s group, and look forward to working with a new mix of athletes who will represent NSW with pride and determination.”
Ashley Henrisson makes his debut as a Head Coach at State level with the U20 Men in 2020, having been an assistant coach in many previous campaigns.
“I’m extremely excited and grateful for being given the opportunity to be Head Coach of the NSW U20 Men State Team. I’m Looking forward to the challenge of working with and developing our NSW athletes so that we can compete and have a successful National Championship in 2020.”
Basketball NSW are now calling for Expressions of Interest for Assistant Coaches and Managers for our 2020 State teams.
