V A L E DENISE McMANUS
5th November 1945 –21st September 2018

Basketball NSW is saddened at the death of Denise McManus, affectionately known as “Mrs Mac” by one and all.

Denise worked with the Basketball NSW Tribunals for many years and was an invaluable member of the tribunal panel as well as a tireless worker in the area of score table supervision for the NSW Country Junior Tournament and also the Metropolitan Junior League championships and NSW State Junior Championships.

She also contributed to the overall success of the major senior Waratah championships again in the area of score table as well as in a supervisory role. Denise also officiated on score table at Australian junior championships and Women’s National Basketball League events.

Denise played a vital role in the growth and development of the Penrith Basketball Association and was a founding member of one of their original junior basketball clubs & PCYC, held a position on the junior basketball committee and for many years was recognised for her success and commitment as a leading Score table official not only for Penrith Basketball but also for BNSW and Basketball Australia. 

The McManus Family invite you to join them in Celebrating Denise’s Life at a Memorial Service on Friday, 28th September 2018 commencing at 10:30 am at the Pinegrove Memorial Park, Kingston Street, Minchinbury, NSW 2770 – West Chapel.

At the conclusion of this service, please join the family to share memories and refreshments at Nepean Rowing Club, Bruce Neale Drive, Penrith.
