Basketball NSW is saddened with the death of Rae Swift, she sadly passed away after a short illness on Saturday 25th May 2019.
Rae is well known within basketball circles and was a tireless worker, volunteer, administrator and supporter of Lithgow Basketball.
In the over 40 years of service, she held almost every role possible. These include score table official, court supervisor, competition coordinator, gear steward, registrar, stadium manager.
Rae was a long term Board member and held the role of President for many years.
In her role as the manager of the Lithgow Senior Lazers, she visited almost every stadium/association in NSW and was instantly recognizable everywhere across NSW.
Rae loved the game of Basketball and will be missed by everyone connected to the game.
Raes funeral will be held on Friday 31st May, 1:30 pm at Hoskins Uniting Church, Mort Street Lithgow.
