This year’s competition promises to be even more exciting than ever as teams battle it out for championship glory.

The first round will take place on June 24th at Niagara Park Stadium, kicking off a thrilling 4-round tournament. Round 2 and 3 will take place at Minto Indoor Sports Centre and Shellharbour City Stadium respectively, while Round 4 will bring us to Kevin Betts Stadium in Blacktown. The finals will be held at a venue yet to be confirmed on August 26th & 27th.

Also in the 2023 season, there will be a new format introduced to the fixture which will include two divisions.

Division 1:  will comprise four teams – 2 x Illawarra teams, Blacktown and 1 All-Star team which will be selected by Wheelchair Sports NSW/ACT.

Division 2: will comprise six teams – Canberra, Central Coast, Hills, Manly, Newcastle and Sutherland.

Each round will see all teams compete in two or three games and this will determine the top four teams after the regular season to battle it out during the Grand Final to seek the 2023 Division Champions.

Also attending round 1 of the competition will be a panel of qualified classifiers who are ready to assess and classify athletes who have yet to take part in classification. For further information on classification requirements, click HERE

We look forward to seeing you all at Niagara Park Stadium on June 24th for what promises to be a spectacular start to the 2023 Waratah Wheelchair League season.
