- Experienced Finance Executive or Partner (over 15 years experience)

Position Description
Basketball NSW invites applications from eligible individuals who wish to be considered for an appointed director vacancy for a term of two (2) years. The role of an appointed director is voluntary, but a small ex-gratia payment is paid to cover costs.
The Board is seeking finance expertise and after an initial induction and transition period the appointed director would assume the Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee prior to its AGM on Saturday 25 May 2024.
While the 2025 Strategy is focused on increasing basketball participation in NSW which is underpinned by infrastructure expansion, the appointed director role will play an important role in supporting the infrastructure expansion.

Selection Criteria
The nomination process is being run by the Nominations Committee who will conduct the interviews after the 2024 Easter period.
Candidates should possess the following personal attributes:
- A commitment to the highest standards of governance and integrity;
- Demonstrated passion and time to make a genuine and active contribution to the Board
- Well-developed strategic thinking capabilities and ability to contribute to the effective decision-making of the Board;
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach;
- Capacity to leverage professional networks to promote and grow Basketball NSW by creating opportunities for both financial and other support to create more programs to access the sport and more places to play.
