On behalf of the Directors of the New South Wales Basketball Association Ltd (BNSW), I confirm that this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Saturday 25 May 2023 commencing at 1pm.
This year the AGM will be held in person at BNSW corporate head office at Units 27-28 Homebush Business Park, 11-21 Underwood Rd, Homebush NSW 2140. If you are unable to attend in person, please make sure you submit your proxy votes or vote electronically 7 days prior to 25 May 2024 when voting opens. The 2024 AGM Notice of Meeting will be sent to all members no later than 21 days prior to the AGM.

2 Call for nominations for the Member Elected Directors of the BNSW Board
We call for nominations for directors of the BNSW Board to be elected by members at the 2024 AGM.
There are two (2) member elected director positions available for election at the 2024 AGM. One of those positions are a result of directors retiring following the expiry of their term and are not seeking re-election and one (1) position is a result of the increase in Board membership following the adoption of the new Constitution in November 2023.
Accordingly, we call for nominations for directors to fill those two (2) vacancies for 3-year terms each.
All nominations must be lodged using the nomination form with requested support material and submitted via email to companysecretary@bnsw.com.au by 5:00 pm Friday 22 March 2024.
Please note that this year the Nominations Committee will be chaired by Carolyn Campbell, currently director of Volleyball Australia, NSW Rugby League and Bankstown Sports Club (formerly Chair of Sports NSW). The Nominations Committee will focus on director attributes and skill category requirements to bolster the Board’s effectiveness to implement and oversee its Strategy, as well as, ensuring basketball community representation.

3 Ordinary or Special Resolutions
Pursuant to the Corporations Act (Act), if a member or group of members who are eligible to put forward either an ordinary or special resolution (as prescribed by the Act) to be voted upon by all members at the AGM, it must be received Friday 22 March 2024 by 5pm by email to companysecretary@bnsw.com.au.
