Today Basketball NSW have regrettably announced that the State Conference and Hall of Fame dinner scheduled for February, has been postponed till November 2022 due to the rise in cases of Covid.

Maria Nordstrom, CEO of Basketball NSW, said she was disappointed by the need to postpone the two highly anticipated events, but it was unavoidable with such a big number of people coming together for 2.5 days for an indoor face-to-face event. The safety and comfort of the attendees is something we had to factor in making this decision.

“This is not a decision we have taken lightly.”

“We always wanted to have a full house of guests join as we welcome in the 2021 Hall of Fame Class and celebrate their accomplishments with their nearest and dearest and with the unknown future of travel and restrictions, myself and the Board have agreed to push back the event in order for the honouring they deserve.”

“The decision also to postpone our State Conference was met with the same thoughts, with many of our associations travelling across the state, we wanted to avoid all necessary implications of the outbreak and bring you an event that fulfils your expectations.”

Basketball NSW sincerely apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and kindly ask for your understanding. We also thank the continued support from all our sponsors and special guests at this time.

The new confirmed date for the State Conference is 25-27th of November at the Novotel Olympic Park. Basketball NSW will be in contact with all our associations regarding the new dates in due course along with the Hall of Fame dinner.
