NBL1 East and Lifeline Australia are partnering up to remind the community that it is okay not to be okay with the upcoming Mental Health Round.

This round will take place during Round 13, from June 16-18, with players wearing orange statement socks and referees using orange whistles as a symbol of support for mental health awareness.

The weekend aims to provide information on self-care strategies and resources available in the community, such as helplines and other services. It also serves to bring greater awareness about the importance of mental health within our society. All other conferences across Australia will also be calling attention to the fantastic work that Lifeline plays in supporting people with their own mental health.

Basketball NSW invites everyone to join us in the fight against the stigma surrounding mental health and show your support for this cause by donning your orange socks too, by clicking HERE – with a portion of the proceeds being donated to Lifeline.

Together, we can help make a difference!

If you, or someone you know, is in need of support, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 (24hrs/7 days) or chat to a Crisis Support at lifeline.org.au (7pm – midnight, 7 nights).

Regardless of your age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or religion, Lifeline’s trained crisis supporters are ready to listen, support, and help you work through what’s on your mind.
