This week marks the beginning of an exciting journey for NSW Country & Albury Basketball representative, Jade Crook who has been awarded a scholarship to join Basketball Australia’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in the heart of Canberra.

Crook will be starting her CoE scholarship program this week, immersing herself in the daily training environment where she will be supported by sports science and high-performance experts.

Standing at an imposing 6”3, the mobile power forward represented Australia with success at both the recent Oceania and Asian Championships.

“Jade has a real future in our sport, she has a strong physical presence and with further refinement of skills Jade can truly make an impact in the post,” praised David Herbert, Head Coach of the women’s program.

Crook follows in the footsteps of former NSW Country athletes, Saffron Shiels, Isla Juffermans & Lauren Jackson AO.

Congratulations Jade.
